Day 1 Arrival in Gangtok & Evening Exploration

Arrive at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP). Our representative will welcome you and drive you to Gangtok (approximately 4-5 hours drive). Check in to your hotel, freshen up, and rest. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll along the vibrant MG Marg - the heart of Gangtok. This pedestrian-only street is filled with shops, cafes, and local handicraft stores. Enjoy the lively atmosphere, try local cuisine at one of the many restaurants, and shop for souvenirs like Tibetan carpets, hand-woven jackets, and alpine cheese.

Day 2 Tsomgo Lake & Nathula Pass Excursion

After breakfast, drive to the sacred Tsomgo Lake (Changu Lake) at an altitude of 12,400 feet. The drive takes approximately 3 hours through winding mountain roads with stunning views. Tsomgo Lake is a glacial lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks - in winter it freezes completely, while in spring it reflects colorful rhododendrons. Visit the Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir nearby, a memorial dedicated to an Indian soldier. Optionally, continue to Nathula Pass (14,140 feet) - the Indo-China border (requires special permit and subject to weather/road conditions). Enjoy the breathtaking views, take photos, and experience the cold mountain air. Return to Gangtok in the evening.
